How to buy a Suppressor/Silencer
These steps are non negotiable. We do not stock any suppressors

 
THE PROCESS TO BUY A SUPPRESSO

  1. Pick Suppressor

We currently only sell Yankee Hill Machine. Any other brands will need to be transferred here.

  1. Pay For Suppressor

Suppressor(s) must be paid in full before suppressor(s) is ordered.

The cost of the suppressor DOES NOT include the $200 TAX STAMP That must be included with the Form4 that is sent to ATF.

  1. DareingArms LLC places order for YHM suppressor

YHM Sends us a confirmation of the order. Then, they (YHM) send a Form 3 (dealer to dealer transfer of NFA item) to ATF. Once that Form 3
is approved it is sent to YHM. Then and only then. YHM will ship the suppressor(s) to DareingArms LLC. This can take anywhere from
1 day to several weeks or months. We have no control over this process. 

Once the order is placed you can not cancel it. You can not change the name on the order. 

  1. Once the suppressor(s) arrives to our shop.

We will call you to come start the Form 4 paperwork.

  1. Bring the following with you to DareingArms LLC

    1. (TWO) Copies of finger prints done at the local sheriff dept. PER SUPPRESSOR

    2. (TWO) Copies of photos takes (Passport style pictures usually taken at Walgreen/CVS) PER SUPPRESSOR

    3. (ONE) $200 Payment for your Tax stamp PER SUPPRESSOR (This is the ATF’s fee for processing the paperwork for the suppressor it does not go to DareingArms nor is it included in the cost of the suppressor.) This can be in form of Check or credit card. We do not recommend money orders or cashiers check. However, all are accepted by ATF.

  2. Once all documents & forms of payment have been collected

     DareingArms LLC will assist you in filling out the Form 4 paperwork.

  1.                                              Once the Form 4 has been filled out

DareingArms LLC will mail off the Form 4 and documents/payment to the ATF and a copy to the Transferee’s County level law enforcement. A USPS Tracking number can be provided for you if desired.

  1.                            Once your $200 payment processed by ATF

Once your payment has been processed by ATF THEN you will start the time frame for approval (Currently 4-12 months depending on ATF backlog) You will then wait until DareingArms calls you. We will let you know IMMEDIATELY when we have an approved Form 4. Then, and only then you may come pick up your suppressor(s) All NFA items will remain at DareingArms LLC until the approved Form 4 has come to us.

  1.                         Picking up the suppressor(s) at DareingArms LLC

    When you come to pick up your suppressor(s). Bring a Valid Photo ID (Address must match with Form 4) You will then fill out a Form 4473. This is done to show the completed transfer of the suppressor(s), to you, in our records. There is no transfer fee for YHM suppressor(s) bought through DareingArms LLC.

FAQS

  • Is the $200 tax stamp included with the cost of my suppressor?

` No. it is a separate cost from the ATF for processing your paperwork we do not have any control over this.

  • How long will it take to get my paperwork back?

This is completely dependent on the ATF. There is no set time frame and anything can speed it up or delay it, such as government shut downs.

  • What happens if they deny my Form 4?

DareingArms LLC will retain the suppressor(s) in the safe until paperwork is approved. We can not transfer it to anyone but the original buyer. Contact ATF with any further questions.

  • Is there a refund for suppressor(s)?

No.

  • Is there a refund for the 200 Tax Stamp?

No. But if you find a way to have the ATF refund money please let us know.

  • Can I check the status of my Form 4?

THE PROCESS TO TRANSFER A SUPPRESSOR BOUGHT ONLINE

These steps are non negotiable.

DareingArms LLC is not responsible for the terms and conditions of the website, FFL or manufacturer you buy the suppressor(s) from.

  1. Buy suppressor(s) online or over the phone from properly licensed suppliers

  2. Send the licensed supplier a copy our Current FFL and SOT
     Email Jenny@dareingarms.com     Please note we are located in STE 902

     

  3. Once the Suppressor(s) have arrived at DareingArms LLC, we will notify you.
    We have no control over when this will be. We are only the receiving FFL. Contact the company you purchased from for shipment info. We receive no notifications of shipments. We often do not know a suppressor has been shipped to us until it shows up in the shop.

  4. Follow all steps shown in the transfer of a suppressor on Step 4
